Differential Diagnosis of the Knee

Differential Diagnosis of the Knee

$25

This seminar looks at the knee joint in a different way by investing above and below the joint to discover the many ways in which the knee can be pushed, pulled or rotated out of its natural alignment. It looks at how an abnormal gait pattern, rotational dysfunctions in the femur and tibia and a stuck Subtalar joint can contribute towards various biomechanical issues at the knee. Participants will be encouraged to use self palpation to identify key muscular and ligamentous attachment points and get an in depth look at the Tibiofemoral and Patellafermoral joint in more detail. .

Kinesiotaping for edema control will also be demonstrated as well as muscle energy techniques for fibular head displacement, which is commonly seen in patients with knee, ankle or hip issues. A thorough investigation into different gait patterns will be addressed, as well as trigger point palpation and finally looking at a five point plan for the rehabilitation of your patients. Viewers will also get the latest MIHP Think Tank series, which offer a complex but easy to follow cheatsheet when working with this population of clients.

It will offer videos, case study scenarios, self-palpation video, exercises, Think Tank handouts, a survey and a post-test. After completing this seminar you will earn 2.5 CEU’s.
