The Soleus muscle is situated in the posterior portion of the lower leg, deep to the Gastocnemius muscle. It runs from the back of the knee down to the ankle and performs plantar flexion at the ankle and also assists with postural stabilization. This video will show you how to locate trigger points in the muscle belly and use soft tissue mobilization to release any muscle tension.
