Hands On WEDNESDAY – Psoas Major Release

Use this soft tissue technique to release the Psoas Major muscle, which is a deep core muscle that plays a crucial role in posture, movement, and spinal stability. Originating from the lumbar vertebrae (T12 to L5) and inserting into the femur (lesser trochanter), it is one of the primary hip flexors. Because of its direct attachment to the spine, dysfunction in the psoas major—such as tightness, weakness, or imbalance—can contribute significantly to lower back pain.
