A Move You Should Do MONDAY – Tendon Neurodynamic Training

This week’s moves are all about rhythm. I’m calling it tendon neurodynamic training but really, it’s just timing moves to a metronome. I encourage you to click on the video and just do the moves along with me. It will be a great 2 minutes to start your day.
But just in case you want to do it on your own, I set a metronome to 150 bpm and did these moves:
- Marching in place, lifting one knee high every 4 beats
- Side stepping two times and then lifting one knee high
- Alternately punch a hand to the ceiling
- Spread your arms out wide to stretch your pecs
- Clap your hands under your knees
- Hug yourself. Alternate which arm goes on top
- Apley’s back scratch.
Why does this matter?
I’m not going to win any dance contests with this routine, but rhythm training combined with exercise has been shown to improve coordination, boost brain function and enhance motivation. (Don’t you feel ready to get your day going now?) It strengthens the connection between your body and brain, improving balance and movement efficiency.
Give it a try. Two minutes could prevent injury.
Because nobody has time to be in pain.
Until next time…

Kind Regards,
