Hands On WEDNESDAY – Brachial Plexus compression

Use this video to locate the anterior and middle Scalene muscles which can be critical in diagnosing and treating brachial plexus dysfunction or thoracic outlet syndrome. The Brachial Plexus is a network of nerves that provides motor and sensory innervation to the upper limb. It arises from the anterior rami of the lower cervical and first thoracic spinal nerves (C5-T1). The brachial plexus passes through the neck and into the upper limb, and its branches control various functions in the arm, including sensation, movement, and reflexes.
