Hands On WEDNESDAY – How to identify an elevated 1st rib
This video explains how to identify an elevated first rib. This is a condition where the first rib (the top rib located near the collarbone) is positioned higher than normal. This can occur due to various causes, such as injury, poor posture, muscle tension, or anatomical variations.
A displaced or elevated first rib can cause neck or shoulder pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness in the arm or hand, headaches, particularly tension-type headaches and restricted range of motion in the neck or shoulder. Stay tuned for next week’s video on how to fix this condition with an MET technique.
