A Move You Should Do MONDAY – Lymphatic Flow Flow

You are going to want to watch this video on this week’s exercise, if for no other reason than this is the closest you will come to seeing me try to dance. The title of this blog wasn’t a stutter. This week’s exercises are designed to improve lymphatic drainage in a series of moves called a flow. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Stand with your feet hip width apart and toes pointed straight ahead
  2. Bounce up and down as you wiggle your arms and shoulders (30 seconds)
  3. Swing your arms forward and backwards (30 seconds)
  4. Alternately swing your arms as you let your knees bounce (30 seconds)
  5. Place your hands on your chest as you bend over slightly and perform torso rotations (30 seconds)
  6. Swing your arms in a wide figure eight as you shift your weight from side to side and allow your torso to turn (30 seconds)

Why does this matter?

The lymphatic system isn’t one we think about usually unless something goes wrong, like feeling a swollen lymph node when you are fighting an infection or if a limb swells up. But it is a system that requires attention and improving lymphatic flow can help boost your immune system, eliminate toxins and waste and help balance the body’s fluids.

So give the lymph flow flow a try. I promise, you will feel better in under three minutes.

If you want to learn one quick fix now, watch this video and share it with someone you think it might help. Get rid of an ankle jam.

Because nobody has time to be in pain.

Until next time…

Kind Regards,
